Zacky Vengeance was born  December 11, 1981 in Olympia, Washington, his real name is Zachary James Baker of Italian and German descent, and he's one of the former members of Avenged Sevenfold and the guitarist of the band.

Later moved to Huntington Beach, California during his high school years. At first and before Avenged Sevenfold, his first band was a crust punk band called Society Down. After Society Down, he formed a punk band called MPA, which stands for Mad Porno Action, and then he formed Avenged Sevenfold with M. Shadows and The Rev.

Zacky came up with his stage name "Zacky Vengeance" because he wanted to get back at all the people from his youth who doubted his potential.

Vengeance was also responsible for the creation of the initialism "A7X", and  Jonathan Seward's stage name "Johnny Christ" saying it suited him.

He's a lefted handed guitarist despite he start playing on a right handed guitar at age of thirteenth and he learned by playing upside-down. He also plays Piano and do the backing vocals.

Zacky won the Revolver Golden God Award for Best Guitarist along with band mate, Synyster Gates in 2011 and 2014 .
